ERP Nightmare 6: Unnecessary processes

By Gina Tsao

Finally, Joe finished a big project.

Joe thought that it is time to go on a vacation back home as a reward for the hard work he’s in the past 2 months. He couldn't wait to see his grandparents and cousins, who he haven't met in years.

C’est la vie.

However, just one week before his vacation, Joe noticed that his application hasn’t been approved yet. The process was stuck because his supervisor forgot to sign it, and then his manager was too busy to notice the system’s notification, followed by his president being unavailable as he was away on a business trip. In the end, he only had a vacation at his rented apartment two weeks after his original plan because the company regulations stated that employees could not take the leave before their request has been approved completely.

Does this story sound familiar to you?

This is just one of the various tragedies that are caused by the poor efficiency of ERP systems. The complicated approval process may be designed for big enterprises, but it doesn’t mean that it will suit every company. Even if the system is customized for your company by coding from scratch, it could take months or even years on testing and fixing the system and training every employee how to use it.

Frankly, that’s why Ragic is a good solution here. By using Ragic, every user can build an ERP system that is based on one’s specific needs. If your company doesn’t have many departments or employees, you can make a system with a simpler approval process and even decide who needs to sign the application. All of this can be designed easily without using any codes, so you can be the one setting the process up.

In Ragic, it is the system be changed for the users, not the users change themselves for the systems.
